Get Paid to Recommend the Tool You Already Love

Wave grew because people kept telling other people about it. A consultant shows a client the summary from their last call. A founder sends a teammate a clip. A student passes the app to a roommate during finals. None of those people got paid for it.

Now they can. Today we're opening the Wave Partner Program to every Wave user. Share your link, and when someone you refer becomes a paid subscriber, you earn 30% of their revenue for a full year.

The offer, plainly

• 30% commission on every referred subscriber's payments
• 12 months from each customer's first paid transaction — renewals during that window count too
• No caps. Refer one person or refer a thousand
• 90-day cookie window, so a click today still counts if they convert next quarter
• Sale-only — free signups don't earn, paid subscribers do

The math is simple. A Wave Pro subscriber at $25/month earns you $7.50/month for 12 months — $90 per converted referral. Refer ten Pro users in a year and that's $900. A hundred is $9,000. There is no ceiling.

If you're already a Wave user:

1. Open Wave on your phone
2. Go to Settings → Earn → Partner Program
3. Copy your link and share it

You can also enroll on the web at app.wave.co/account/partner. Either way, your link looks like invite.wave.co/yourname. The handle is generated from your email by default, and you can change it to whatever you want — three to thirty-two characters, lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. If you rename your handle later, your old link keeps working too.

Track clicks, signups, paid conversions, and earnings from the dashboard inside the app. Payouts are handled by Dub Partners, which also collects your tax form (W-9 in the U.S., W-8 elsewhere) the first time you cash out.

What makes a good pitch

The partners who do well don't pitch features. They pitch the problem and let Wave solve it on screen. A few things that work:

• Lead with the pain. "I forget half of what gets said in meetings" lands harder than "Wave has 95% transcription accuracy."
• Show the output, not the app. A real summary of a real call is more convincing than a screenshot of a settings screen.
• Be honest about the fit. Wave is great for people in a lot of meetings or calls. It's not a fit for everyone, and recommending it to the wrong person costs you trust.
• Use it in public. The most effective partner pitch is being someone who clearly already lives in the product.

Rules of the road

A few things that get partners removed from the program:

• No spam. Cold DMs, mass email blasts, and link dumping in unrelated communities are out.
• No paid search on Wave brand terms. Don't bid on "wave ai" or variants — that's our traffic.
• No self-referrals. Don't use your own link to subscribe.
• Don't impersonate Wave. Be yourself, recommending a tool — not a fake support account or a knockoff site.

Fine print. Commissions are calculated on net subscription revenue from referred customers, for 12 months from each customer's first paid transaction. 30-day holding period covers refund clawbacks.
