Does my watch need its own internet connection?

No. The watch records offline and passes recordings to the Wave app on your phone, which uploads them.

Do I need my phone nearby to record?

No. The watch records on its own and keeps recordings until your phone is back in range. Transcripts and summaries appear once your phone uploads them.

Can I pause a recording on my watch?

Yes, on both Apple Watch and Wear OS. Paused time isn't counted, and everything stays in one recording.

Do watch recordings count toward my plan?

Yes. Once uploaded, a watch recording is a normal Wave session and counts toward your plan like any other recording. Wave is free to start.
