Just Ask Claude About Your Wave Meetings
You can now connect Wave to Claude. Once it’s linked, Claude can search, read, and summarize any meeting you’ve recorded — so instead of opening the app to hunt for a transcript, you just ask. Setup takes about a minute and no code.

Wave has always been good at one thing: capturing a conversation and turning it into a clean, searchable record. But that record still lived inside the Wave app. If you wanted to remember what you agreed to on a call, you opened Wave, found the session, and read through it.
Today that changes. You can now connect Wave to Claude. Once it's linked, Claude can search and read the meetings you've recorded — so instead of opening the app and hunting for a transcript, you just ask.
What It Looks Like
Here's a real example. One morning I asked Claude about a meeting, and it pulled the details straight from Wave:
Me:Can you tell me about today's Wave meeting about ads?
Claude:There's a 60-minute meeting from today that fits. Let me pull the full details… That was your Apple Search Ads alignment call with the Adapty team this morning. Here's the recap…
Claude found the right session, read the recording, and gave me the summary — without me pasting in a transcript or opening the app. Wave was simply available to it as something it could search.
How to Connect It
Setup takes about a minute, and there's no code involved:
- Open Claude's Connectors. In the Claude app — web, desktop, or mobile — go to Settings and find the Connectors section.
- Add
mcp.wave.coas a custom connector. Sign in with your Wave account and approve. That's the whole install. - Just ask.Claude can now search, read, and summarize any session you've recorded.
Things You Can Ask
Once it's connected, natural questions work best. A few that come up constantly:
- "What did I commit to in this week's meetings?"
- "Summarize my call with the design team and draft a follow-up."
- "Find every time we talked about pricing this quarter."
- "Pull the action items from yesterday's standup."
Because Claude is reading your actual recordings — not a summary you remembered to save — the answers are grounded in what was really said, with the right speaker attributed to the right line.
Built on MCP — So It's Not Just Claude
The connection uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for giving AI assistants access to tools and data. That means the same setup works in ChatGPT, Cursor, and any other app that supports MCP — not only Claude. Step-by-step instructions for each are at api.wave.co/mcp.
If you'd rather build your own integration instead of using an assistant, everything the connector does is also available through the Wave API.
Your Data Stays Yours
The connection is read-only and scoped to your account. Claude only sees your own sessions, it accesses them when you ask a question, and you can disconnect it anytime from Claude's Connectors settings. Nothing is shared with other users, and revoking access takes one click.
Try It in the Next Minute
If you already record with Wave, this is the fastest new way to get value out of everything you've captured. Open Claude's Connectors, paste in mcp.wave.co, and ask it about your last meeting.
