Yes. You can generate minutes 5 times a day for free, with no account and no watermark. Recordings also count toward the free transcription tool's 5 files a day. For every meeting, the Wave app has a free plan and paid plans from $80 a year or $15 a month.
A title, the date if it was mentioned, attendees, a short summary, the agenda, discussion grouped by topic, decisions, action items with an owner and due date when they were stated, and next steps. Each template adds its own sections, such as motions and votes for a board meeting or blockers for a standup.
From the speakers. Uploaded recordings are transcribed with speaker labels (Speaker A, Speaker B…), and the minutes use real names whenever people are named or introduced in the conversation. When a task has no clear owner, the owner is left blank instead of guessed.
Yes. Choose "Paste a transcript instead" and paste the text. Speaker names in the transcript make the attendees and action-item owners more accurate.
Download the .docx and open it in Word, or upload it to Google Docs. For Notion, copy the Markdown and paste it into a page: headings, bullets and the action-item checklist come through. The .md file works in Obsidian and any Markdown editor.
The transcript is sent to our AI provider to write the minutes and is not published. Uploaded recordings follow the free transcription tool's policy: we may keep a private copy of the audio and transcript to improve Wave's speech recognition. Please don't upload recordings you aren't comfortable sharing with us.
