How to set it up

In Muse, send: "Create a custom connector for Wave. It's an MCP server at https://mcp.wave.co."
Open the sign-in link Muse gives you and sign in to Wave with the account you record with.
Go back to Muse and ask your first question. Muse remembers the connector for future chats.

How to search meeting transcripts in Muse

Try this with a meeting you have recorded in Wave. Muse can use the saved transcript to answer a specific question; review the source before relying on the answer.

1. Record and connect
Record a meeting in Wave with the participants’ agreement, then let the transcript finish processing. Ask Muse to create a custom connector for https://mcp.wave.co and sign in to the Wave account that contains the recording.
2. Ask about a decision
Name the meeting or give a date range so the assistant can find the right conversation. Replace the example date with one from your own library.
Search my Wave meetings from last week. What did we decide about the website launch? Separate decisions, action items with owners, and questions that are still open. Cite the source meeting for each.
3. Check the source and follow up
Open the referenced Wave session and compare important details with the transcript or recording. If the answer is missing a deadline, ask the assistant to find it rather than infer one.
Which deadlines were explicitly stated? Quote the relevant transcript passages and say when no deadline was given.

Things to know

Muse reads what Wave has recorded — it doesn't record meetings itself. Recording happens in the Wave apps (iPhone, Android, web, desktop, Chrome extension).
Access is OAuth-scoped: you approve what Muse can do when you connect, and you can disconnect at any time from inside Muse.
The connector needs a Wave account with recordings in it. Wave's free tier includes 30 minutes of recording per month.

Why isn't Wave in Muse's connector list?+

Wave AI Note Taker has been submitted to Muse's connector directory and is under review. Until it's listed, Muse connects to Wave as a custom connector — you ask Muse to create it, and it works the same way.

Does Muse need an API key for Wave?+

No. Wave uses a normal sign-in. If Muse asks for a key, tell it the server uses OAuth and open the sign-in link it gives you.

Does Muse record my meetings?+

No. Wave does the recording and transcription in its own apps. Muse connects to what you've already captured — it can search, read, and organize, but recording never happens through Muse.

Is my meeting data used to train AI models?+

Wave never uses your recordings or transcripts to train AI models. Your data belongs to you, and Muse's access is scoped to your account — you can disconnect whenever you want.

What can Muse change in Wave?+

Very little on purpose. Muse can search and read your sessions, save action items back to a session, and file sessions into folders. It can't delete a recording or edit a transcript.
